MASONRY IN THE MIDDLE EAST I thought that you might be interested in the pictures below, they came from Israel by way of Brother Houston White, Secretary of High Twelve Lodge No. 317, Tampa, Florida. Accordingly, there is only one road leading from Eliat to the Egyptian Border at Taba and the last circle before getting to the border one will find this Masonic Memorial in the middle of the road.
The two columns represent the two pillars of Solomon's Temple.

This blue ball is the Globe. (See reference at 1-Kings 7:21) For Masons, the "B" has tremendous significance. What does Boaz mean in Hebrew? In Him strength.
This black ball has small gold dots and it is a map of the stars in the sky. (1-Kings 7:21) For Masons, the "J" has tremendous significance. What does Jachin mean in Hebrew? He will be found or established.
Not far from the Masonic display, near the middle of town one will find this building; what makes it most interesting is the top. No explanation. |
